Positions Available for Upcoming Season

Anyone interested in becoming the:

Building & Grounds Chairperson Assistant

 (contact Tim Geiger 623-7762)

This person would assist Tim Geiger in his service, maintenance, and construction

of all facilities and mechanical equipment owned or used by the AAYHA. It is to be used as a training to become

the Buildings & Grounds Chairperson for the following year.

ALL HOURS ARE EARNED

Ace Coordinator

An ACE Coordinator duties include:

1. Organize and develop, at a minimum, two coaching workshops for all coaches and instructors prior to the start of the season.

2. Evaluate and/or supervise, offering constructive criticism, at a minimum, two practice sessions per team. First evaluation to be held before December 31st, with follow up evaluation(s) at “ACE” Coordinators discretion.

3. Plan, Develop and Organize Specialty Clinics

a. Checking, power skating, stick handling and goaltending will be held during summer and fall camps.

b. Dry land training lesson(s) held prior to skating season.

c. Goaltending clinics will be held periodically during hockey season (minimum of 4).

4. Establish and maintain an association resource center for coaches, instructors and players.

5. Though “ACE” Coordinator serves as support, resource and overall aid to all coaches and instructors, the AAYHA Board of Directors retains full control in selection of coaches.

6. “ACE” Coordinator may recruit help in administrative duties, camp, clinics, and workshops. Any monetary settlement rendered, to non-member specialists recruited, must be pre-approved by AAYHA Board of Directors.

Initiation Coordinator

Organinze two meetings for New Members explaining Policies and Procedures of the AAYHA. The second meeting should be held in February and include a viewing of a parents and sportsmanship video.

10 HOURS EARNED

 Head Tournament Director

 This position is responsible for setting dates for home tournaments, purchasing awards and patches, reserving hotel rooms, advertising in Magazines, etc.

Equipment Manager

This person will be charge of coordinating, selection and

maintenance of all player equipment purchased by the AAYHA.

SUMMER HOURS STILL NEEDED

Not every member has turned in their Summer Hours Worksheet. If you did not earn all your hours, bleachers are in need of staining.
